Water Bottle Luminaries

Shine some light on how disposable plastics impact our daily lives and the health of our planet. The Kiickstart Water Bottle Luminary lesson is part of the Art is Elemental Water Unit. This 16 page booklet provides thorough instructions, objectives, a materials list, process and timing, artists to investigate and a gallery of student samples. Plus, there’s an extra bonus – step-by-step instructions describing how we created the “Tapped – a message from a bottle” Installation in our school! The activities described are suitable for students in 5th grade and up!

The luminaries featured in this resource were created by Karen’s 7th Grade students. The “Tapped” installation was a school wide effort!Water Bottle Luminaries
